The new Governing Council of the Offinso College of Education which was formed on September 29, 2022, to replace the previous College Council convened her first meeting on Tuesday, 25th October 2022. The substantive Chair, Rt. Rev. Stephen Kwaku Owusu, who is also the Kumasi Diocesan Bishop of the Methodist Church, Ghana directed the meeting. At the meeting, among issues that found their way as part of the agenda was whether or not the tenure of the current College Principal should be renewed. The Students and Staff (Teaching and Non-Teachng) of Offinso College of Education have presented an amount of six thousand Ghana cedis (GHC 6,000) to a student of the College whose son was hit by his school bus and was seriously injured. The Students and the Staff of the College Community were touched by the pronouncement by the medical officers that the child was to undergo a surgery which would involve a huge sum of money.
